Indication
Hyperacidity (treatment), Ulcer, duodenal (treatment) or Ulcer, gastric (treatment), Hypersecretory conditions, gastric (treatment adjunct), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (treatment adjunct), Mastocytosis, systemic (treatment adjunct) or Adenoma, multiple endocrine (treatment adjunct), Reflux, gastroesophageal (treatment), Stress-related mucosal damage (prophylaxis and treatment) .

Pregnancy
Antacids are generally considered safe as long as chronic high doses are avoided.
Breast-feeding
Some aluminum, calcium, and magnesium may be distributed into breast milk; the concentration is not great enough to produce an effect in the neonate.
Precaution
Pediatrics
Antacids should not be given to young children (up to 6 years of age) unless prescribed by a physician. Use of magnesium-containing antacids is contraindicated in very young children because there is a risk of hypermagnesemia, Use of aluminum-containing antacids is contraindicated in very young children because there is a risk of aluminum toxicity.
Geriatrics
The use of aluminum-containing antacids in Alzheimer's patients is not generally recommended.
Contraindication & Drug interaction
Except under special circumstances, these medications should not be used when the following medical problems exist:
Intestinal obstruction, Renal function impairment, severe (increased risk of hypermagnesemia)
Risk-benefit should be considered when the following medical problems exist:
Appendicitis or symptoms of, Bleeding, gastrointestinal or rectal, undiagnosed, Colitis, ulcerative, Colostomy or Diverticulitis or Ileostomy, Diarrhea, chronic, Sensitivity to aluminum-, calcium-, magnesium-,simethicone, or sodium bicarbonate-containing medications.
Drug Interactions
Ammonium chloride, Ascorbic acid, Potassium or sodium phosphates, Racemethionine, Amphetamines or Quinidine, Anticholinergics or other medications with anticholinergic activity, Cellulose sodium phosphate, Digitalis glycosides, Enteric-coated medications, such as bisacodyl, Fluoroquinolones, Folic acid, Histamine H2-receptor antagonists, Iron preparations, oral, Ketoconazole, Mecamylamine, Methenamine, Misoprostol, Pancrelipase, Penicillamine, Phenothiazines, especially chlorpromazine, oral, Phenytoin, Phosphates, oral, Salicylates, Sodium polystyrene sulfonate resin (SPSR), Sucralfate, Tetracyclines, oral, Vitamin D, including calcifediol and calcitriol.
Usual Adult Dose
10-20 ml
Maximum dose / daily: 80 ml

Side Effects
Medical attention needed: Neurotoxicity, Fecal impaction, Swelling of feet or lower legs, Hypercalcemia associated with milk-alkali syndrome, Osteomalacia and osteoporosis due to phosphate depletion, Phosphorus depletion syndrome,Hypermagnesemia or other electrolyte imbalance
Storage
Store below 30°C (86°F).
Protect the medicine from freezing.
Keep container tightly closed.
