Indication
Pain, vascular headaches.
Pregnancy Category
Use of Lominofen during pregnancy is not recommended.
Precaution
Patients sensitive to one of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and any of the Xanthines may be sensitive to Lominofen
Contraindication & Drug interaction
Alcoholism, Hepatic disease, Viral hepatitis, Phenylketonuria, Renal function impairment, severe, Sensitivity. Allergic reaction, severe, such as anaphylaxis or angioedema, induced by aspirin or other NSAIDs, history of, or Nasal polyps associated with bronchospasm, aspirin-induced(High risk of severe allergic reactions because of cross-sensitivity)
Risk-benefit should be considered when the following medical problems exist:
Allergic reaction, mild, such as allergic rhinitis, urticaria, or skin rash, induced by aspirin or other NSAIDs, history of (possibility of cross-sensitivity) Anemia or Asthma (may be exacerbated)
Conditions predisposing to and/or exacerbated by fluid retention, such as: Compromised cardiac function, Congestive heart disease, Edema, pre-existing, Hypertension, Renal function impairment or failure (NSAIDs may cause fluid retention and edema) Conditions predisposing to gastrointestinal toxicity, such as: Alcoholism, active or gastrointestinal bleeding (GI), history, of Inflammatory or ulcerative disease of the upper or lower gastrointestinal tract, including Crohn's disease, diverticulitis, peptic ulcer disease, or ulcerative colitis, active or history of Tobacco use or recent history of, Congestive heart failure or Diabetes mellitus or Edema, pre-existing or Extracellular volume depletion or Sepsis (Increased risk of renal failure) Hemophilia or other bleeding problems including coagulation or platelet function disorders, Hepatic cirrhosis or Hepatic function impairment, Renal function impairment, Stomatitis, Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Anxiety disorders, Cardiac disease severe, Hepatic function impairment, Hypertension, Insomnia, Sensitivity.
Drug interactions
Alcohol, Hepatic enzyme inducers, Hepatotoxic medications, other, Anticoagulants, coumarin- or indandione-derivative, Anti-inflammatory drugs, nonsteroidal (NSAIDs) or Aspirin or other salicylates, Adenosine, Barbiturates, Primidone, Beta-adrenergic blocking agents, systemic, Beta-adrenergic blocking agents, ophthalmic, Bronchodilators, adrenergic, Caffeine-containing beverages (coffee, tea, or soft drinks) Caffeine-containing medications, other, CNS stimulation-producing medications, Calcium supplements, Cimetidine, Ciprofloxacin, Enoxacin, Norfloxacin ,Contraceptives oral, Disulfiram, Erythromycin, Troleandomycin, Lithium, Mexiletine, Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, including furazolidone, procarbazine, and selegiline ,Smoking, tobacco, Xanthines, other, such as:
Aminophylline, Dyphylline, Oxtriphylline, Theobromine, Theophylline, ACE inhibitors, Acetaminophen, Alcohol, Corticosteroids, oral glucocorticoid, Corticotropin, Potassium Supplements, Anticoagulants, coumarin- or indanedione-derivative or Heparin or Thrombolytic agents, such as: Alteplase, Anistreplase, Streptokinase, Urokinase,Warfarin,Antidiabetic agents, or Insulin , Antihypertensives, Diuretics especially, Triamterene, Aspirin or NSAIDs, two or more concurrently, especially Diflunisal and indomethacin concurrently or Salicylates other than aspirin and diflunisal Bone marrow depressants , Cefamandole, Cefoperazone , Cefotetan, Plicamycin, Valproic acid ,Colchicines, Cyclosporine, Gold compounds, Nephrotoxic medications, Digitalis glycosides, Lithium, Methotrexate, Photosensitizing medications, Platelet aggregation inhibitors, Probenecid.
Usual Adult Dose
One capsule every four hours.
Usual Pediatric Dose
Children up to 12 years of age use is not recommended.
Side Effects
Those indicating need for medical attention
Incidence rare, Agranulocytosis, anemia, dermatitis, allergic, hepatitis, renal colic, renal failure, sterile pyuria, thrombocytopenia

Necrotizing enterocolitis

Those indicating possible withdrawal if they occur after medication is abruptly discontinued after prolonged use:
Anxiety, dizziness, headache, irritability, muscle tension, nausea, nervousness, stuffy nose, unusual tiredness
A hypersensitivity syndrome consisting of fever and chills, skin rashes or other cutaneous manifestations, hepatotoxicity, renal toxicity (including renal failure), leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, eosinophilia, inflamed glands or lymph nodes, and arthralgias, fever and chills, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain ibuprofen serum sickness- or influenza-like syndrome that may consist of troubled breathing, arthralgias, fever and chills, fatigue, pruritus, and/or skin rash or other cutaneous manifestations, has been reported with ibuprofen
Note: if skin fragility, blistering or other symptoms suggestive of pseudoporphyria occur, treatment should be discontinued and the patient monitored.

Store below 30°C (86°F). Protect from light and moisture, keep the medicine in the box.
